Regional Partnerships

The Office of Regional Engagement (ORE) at Southern Cross University (SCU) is dedicated to further the cause of regional connectivity. It manages a systematic whole of University approach to positive community relations and regional engagement.

The ORE works with community groups, regional agencies, government at all levels, professional and special interest organisations and individuals and ideas.

ORE at work

Collaborations can include internships, scholarships, case study research, field trips, mentoring, conferences. Partnerships can be formal and informal through MOU's, collaborative funding applications and project management. Staff are members of regional boards and community groups.

 

SCU actively participates in regional networks to grow capacity particularly in key fields of education, ageing, environmental management and climate change, health and human sciences, arts, social development, tourism, law and business.

ORE at work

These links allow for innovation, consultancies and research. Regional events are hosted on SCU campuses. Guest speakers series, community activities, sporting and cultural activities, special interest seminars are open to the public.
